Connect an AI Assistant to fitzap workout
fitzap workout Pro lets you connect an AI assistant to your synced training data. The assistant connects to a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. You sign in on volumelogic.se with a one-time code sent to the email address you use in the app. After that, the assistant can answer questions about your training, and it can send workout drafts for you to review in the app.
We tested the connection with Claude and ChatGPT on October 10, 2026. Other assistants are still pending. Assistant menus and plan requirements change often, so check your provider's documentation if a step looks different.
1. Your server URL
Every assistant uses the same URL:
https://volumelogic.se/mcp
The connection uses OAuth. You never paste a password or API key into the assistant. When it asks you to sign in, a volumelogic.se page opens where you enter your email address, then the one-time code we send you. That page shows what the assistant will be able to access before you choose Allow or Deny.
2. What you need
- fitzap workout Pro. Every data request checks your subscription. If Pro lapses, the assistant can still connect but can't read your data.
- An existing fitzap workout account. Use the same email address you sign in with in the app. The sign-in page can't create new accounts.
- Cloud sync turned on in fitzap workout. The assistant can only read training that has synced to your account. It can't see data that is stored only on your phone.
- For nutrition (optional): fitzap nutrition cloud backup, turned on and active in the fitzap nutrition app, on the same account. Connecting an assistant doesn't turn this backup on.
- An assistant that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. Some providers only offer custom connectors on certain plans. Check your provider's current requirements.
3. Set up your assistant
| Assistant | Status | Last tested |
|---|---|---|
| Claude | Working | October 10, 2026 |
| ChatGPT | Working | October 10, 2026 |
| Gemini CLI | Pending verification | Not yet tested |
| Other MCP clients | Pending verification | Not yet tested |
Claude
Tested October 10, 2026. Add fitzap workout as a custom connector:
- Open Claude's Settings and go to Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://volumelogic.se/mcpand confirm. - Choose Connect and sign in on the volumelogic.se page that opens.
ChatGPT
Tested October 10, 2026. Add fitzap workout as a custom connector:
- Open ChatGPT's Settings and go to Apps & Connectors. You may need to turn on developer mode first.
- Choose Create and paste
https://volumelogic.se/mcp. - Choose OAuth for authentication, then sign in on the volumelogic.se page that opens.
Gemini
We are testing Gemini CLI as a remote MCP server over HTTP with OAuth, and will publish steps here once that works. The Gemini web and mobile apps are not supported.
Other MCP clients
Pending verification. Other clients, such as code editors and desktop assistants, may also work if they support remote MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in. Add a remote server with the URL https://volumelogic.se/mcp and follow the client's OAuth prompt.
4. What the assistant can access
When you allow it, the assistant can:
- Read your synced fitzap workout training: sessions, sets, exercises, personal records, cardio summaries and cardio notes, saved workouts and coach reports. Weights are shown in your app's unit (kg or lb).
- Read consumed nutrition totals from fitzap nutrition: calories, protein, carbs and fat per day or per week, only while your fitzap nutrition cloud backup is on and active.
- Send workout drafts to fitzap workout. A draft only becomes a workout after you review and save it in the app.
The assistant can't change or delete your training history. It can't see meal details, food names, nutrition targets, body metrics or exact GPS routes.
5. Troubleshooting
- "fitzap workout Pro is required": get or restore Pro in the fitzap workout app, then try again.
- The assistant finds no training, or training is missing: turn on cloud sync in fitzap workout and open the app so it can sync. The assistant only sees what has reached the cloud. Recent sessions can take a while to appear, and data from a device that hasn't synced recently may be incomplete.
- No nutrition data: fitzap nutrition cloud backup is a separate setting in the fitzap nutrition app. It has to be on and active, on the same account. Days without synced entries show as missing, not as zero.
- Different data than in the app: make sure you signed in on volumelogic.se with the same email address you use in both apps. The sign-in page shows which account you are using.
- No code arrives: check your spam folder and confirm the address is the one on your fitzap workout account.
6. Manage or disconnect assistants
Manage connected assistants in the app (Settings → AI assistants). Disconnecting there revokes that assistant's access to your account. Removing the connector in the assistant only removes it from that assistant.
7. Privacy
Data only flows to an assistant after you connect it and allow access. What the assistant's provider does with the data it receives is covered by that provider's privacy policy. See our Privacy Policy for how fitzap apps handles assistant connections.
