What is fitzap apps?

fitzap apps is the parent organization behind fitzap workout, an adaptive workout tracker, and fitzap nutrition, a macro and calorie tracker.

What is fitzap workout?

fitzap workout is an intelligent workout tracker for iOS and Android built around training volume. It logs your sets, analyzes them after each session, and adapts your next workout based on weekly volume trends and per-muscle recovery.

What is fitzap nutrition?

fitzap nutrition tracks calories, macros, foods, and weight trends. It includes adaptive targets, barcode scanning, reusable recipes, custom foods, and Apple Health integration.

Where can I download fitzap nutrition?

fitzap nutrition is available on iOS and Android. Download it on the App Store or get it on Google Play.

Where can I download the app?

You can download fitzap workout from the App Store or Google Play.

Is fitzap workout free to use?

Yes. fitzap workout is free to download and free to use, with unlimited workout templates. A premium tier unlocks deeper adaptive coaching and additional analytics, but the core tracker is free forever.

Do I need an account to use fitzap workout?

No. You can use the entire app — including templates, logging, analytics, and adaptive progression — without creating an account. An account is only needed if you want cloud sync across devices.

Are iOS and Android the same?

Yes. fitzap workout ships the same feature set on both platforms — logging, adaptive progression, coaching volume, analytics, GPS-tracked outdoor cardio, and cloud sync.

How fitzap workout works

How does fitzap workout calculate training volume?

For strength work, volume = reps × weight, summed across sets, in your preferred unit (kg or lb). Cardio sessions and cardio-tagged exercises are excluded from strength-volume totals so hypertrophy tracking stays clean.

What is coaching volume?

Coaching volume is a decay-weighted score of effective sets per muscle over a rolling window. Recent sets count more than older ones, mirroring how training stimulus actually decays. Each muscle is bucketed into below maintenance, maintenance, productive, or high zones.

How does adaptive progression work?

After each session, the app analyzes per-exercise volume and RPE and updates your next prescribed sets, reps, and weight. If weekly volume rises more than 15% week over week, the next session's sets are reduced by one; if volume falls more than 15%, sets are increased by one. Muscle-load guardrails prevent adding sets when a muscle is already heavily worked.

What is the deload suggestion?

For premium users, fitzap workout suggests a deload week with appropriate cooldowns when fatigue indicators stack up — for example after sustained high volume combined with rising RPE on key lifts.

Does fitzap workout work offline?

Yes. fitzap workout is local-first: every workout, set, and analytic is computed and stored on-device in SQLite. Cloud sync via Supabase is opt-in for users who want backup or multi-device access.
