Pilates Single Leg Circles
Single Leg Circles is a classic mat Pilates move done on your back. You draw smooth circles with one extended leg while keeping your pelvis stable and core engaged. It builds hip mobility and leg control without equipment.
- Targets: Glutes
- Equipment: Mat (Pilates)
- Type: Isolation
Step by step
How to do the Pilates Single Leg Circles
- Lie on your back on a mat with arms at your sides, palms down.
- Bend one knee and place the foot flat on the floor. Extend the other leg straight up toward the ceiling.
- Draw a small circle with the lifted leg—across your body, down, out to the side, and back up. Keep the circle within a range you can control.
- Complete all reps in one direction, then reverse the circle direction.
- Switch legs and repeat on the other side.
- Keep your breathing steady throughout—do not hold your breath.
